Our partners, Vote Save America and Team North Carolina, are hosting this special phonebank to focus on voters in rural North Carolina.

Even though NC's larger cities like Charlotte, Durham, and Raleigh are key locations for voter outreach, 80 out of a hundred counties in the state rural. As a reference point, President Obama won at least 40 percent of the vote in 55 of North Carolina's rural counties. It's clear that small towns and rural communities will be central to winning progressive victories, but it won't happen if this important group of multiracial, working class voters are discounted.

To help increase Democratic turnout in North Carolina's rural communities, join Down Home North Carolina to call 40,000 rural voters about how re-electing Governor Cooper and flipping the North Carolina state legislature. These calls will help counter voter suppression and pass important legislation in 2021 like Medicaid Expansion.

Training will take place on Zoom and the calls will be made through ThruTalk.
