Higher education in the United States is under attack.

Join SUFS Pittsburgh and 50501 Pittsburgh at Schenley Plaza on Saturday, April 19 at 1:00 to ask CMU and Pitt leadership to stand up with us in defense of academic freedom, open inquiry, and free expression. We will come together to stand up for the rights, privacy, and freedom of our students, international scholars, and all other university faculty and staff. In recognition of Earth Day, we will also be highlighting the impacts of the Trump administration on our environment and on environmental scientists.

We will be joined by speakers from universities and local environmental organizations including the Breathe Project. We will also have tables set up for conversations, demos, and activities centered around all the good things scientific research has helped us achieve. Resources to connect you with local mutual aid groups and help support the Pittsburgh community will also be featured.

Gather with us in Schenley Plaza to support academic freedom, scientific research, and all the good that universities are doing for Pittsburgh and the Earth!
