P&J Conversations: The Work That Reconnects

Start: Monday, November 23, 2020 7:00 PM

End: Monday, November 23, 2020 8:00 PM

These are challenging times. It can be hard to face all that is unfolding around us and to build connections and stay creative and hopeful. The Work That Reconnects was developed by eco-philosopher & activist Joanna Macy and has lead many people around the world in practices that help us deepen our resilience and capacity to stay involved in difficult work with joy and gratitude.

Kendra Ford has trained in these practices and invites you to join in a time to reflect on gratitude, the real pain in our world, how we can see with new eyes and how to sustain our work in the world. Hopefully you will feel renewed and develop new connections.
Kendra was born in Western Massachusetts and now lives in Portsmouth with her husband and young son. She has been a writer, a baker, and, for the last 19 years, the minister for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Exeter NH. She is also active with 350NH and other area groups working for change.

About NHPA's Peace & Justice Conversation Series: COVID 19 has brought us to a new moment of reckoning and possibility. How do we want to live in the world? What do we value? How can we make the changes we've been yearning for? NH Peace Action has been engaged in working for change for decades. We'd like to take this moment to bring you into some conversations about issues and options for the future. Our new online abilities make it possible to come together across the state more easily to connect, learn and work for peace and justice. This bi-weekly Zoom series hosted by NHPA members will offer different topics of discussion for each session. Be part of the conversation!

You will receive Zoom link and instructions with your RSVP. (Make sure to scroll down past the green "Thanks for your support" block to see the Zoom link)
