Join DSA-LA and the Keep LA Housed coalition for a press conference outside Marqueece Harris-Dawson's office to call on the council president to support a rent freeze.

The city’s own study and LA Housing Dept. (LAHD) recommendations have found that the existing rent increase formula is unfair. Rather than provide *stability* for tenants, our rent control formula favors landlords and is pushing LA tenants into precarity, overcrowding, and homelessness. LAHD has recommended that City Council fix this formula.

The council president has the power to move a rent freeze through council. We can’t afford another rent hike under the old, unfair formula, and we shouldn’t have to pay for LAHD’s delays.
