What's at Stake

Intro 175-B would require the NYPD to create protest buffer zones around any "educational or training facility" — a definition so broad it could apply to universities, museums, libraries, and teaching hospitals. Nearly a dozen unions have sounded the alarm. Reproductive rights groups, immigration advocates, and civil liberties organizations across the city oppose it.

Mayor Mamdani vetoed it. But Council Speaker Menin is working to flip votes and override that veto. We have to stop her.
