Join us in watching the documentary "The Right to Read." The film screening will be followed by a thought-provoking discussion. The film delves into the critical importance of early literacy development and the challenges many children face in achieving reading proficiency. A light lunch will be provided at the end of the event. All attendees will be entered into a raffle giveaway at the event. Space is limited so please register early.

This is an in-person event for people in Kalamazoo county, especially families, who have a vested interest in improving youth literacy rates in our community. Library staff and local National Honor Society students will entertain children with stories and crafts upstairs so that parents and caregivers can enjoy the screening downstairs.
