Join us on Tuesday, August 4th from 5-6:30pm PT/7-8:30pm CT for a rapid response community call. The National Archives locations in San Bruno and Chicago are at risk. These sites could begin relocating documents as soon as September. They contain over 215,000 cubic feet of information, including documents crucial to the Japanese American community such as A-files, enemy alien hearings, Tanforan assembly center records, and more. Not only that but the locations house records crucial to so many communities such as Angel Island immigration records, Bureau of Indian Affairs records, and landmark legal cases.

This webinar will feature information from SONA (Save Our National Archives), Densho, and Dr. Alice Yang of the UC Santa Cruz History and Ethnic Studies Departments, as well as information on how to get involved in the efforts to protect the national archives. We are calling on communities, organizations, and individuals in the Bay Area, Chicago, and across the country, to join us in this urgent fight to preserve our history!
