Thank you all for your patience as we worked around this week's weather. We are thrilled to share two major updates:

1. We have our ballot number: We are officially Question 6 on the November ballot!

2. We have a new launch date: Our “Vote Yes on Question 6” campaign launch rally on the Charles River Esplanade is officially rescheduled for Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 10:00 AM!

Now that our official ballot designation is locked in, Tuesday’s rally is our moment to kick off the "Vote Yes on Question 6" campaign in a big way. We need every partner organization out in full force to show the media, voters, and state leaders the incredible breadth and unity of our movement.

July 20 UPDATE:

With a high chance of thunderstorms in the forecast for Wednesday, we made the decision to postpone our public “Vote Yes” launch rally originally scheduled for Wednesday on the Esplanade.

Because so much of our campaign's launch depends on making a massive visual splash—complete with outdoor gear, bikes, and kayaks—we want to ensure clear skies so our coalition can shine!

We are currently working with our leadership team to lock in a new date as quickly as possible. We will follow up with the updated date and time in an email soon.

Are you ready to protect water and nature in Massachusetts? Join environmental, conservation, outdoor recreation, and parks advocates from across the state in Boston on Wednesday, July 22 for a celebratory rally as we launch our YES campaign to pass the Protect Water and Nature ballot initiative on the November 2026 ballot!

The Protect Water and Nature ballot initiative would dedicate funds from the existing state sales tax on sporting goods to protecting and conserving water and nature. That means as much as $100 million every year for clean drinking water, healthy forests and natural wildlife habitats, and more outdoor recreational spaces like trails and parks that everyone can enjoy — without raising taxes. In early July, we’ll receive our official ballot number, and we’ll have less than four months to make sure that every voter in the state understands that voting YES means dedicated funding for clean drinking water and access to nature.
