During the public commentary period, urge the Board of Supervisors to oppose this request from Mayor Lurie, and to keep Max Carter-Oberstone on the Police Commission for the remainder of his term. The meeting will be conducted in the Legislative Chamber, Room 250.

According to Mission Local, "[On February 4th, Mayor Daniel Lurie] moved to oust outspoken police commissioner Max Carter-Oberstone as part of an attempted overhaul of the body that oversees the San Francisco Police Department. " Max Carter Oberstone is known for refusing to go along with Mayor London Breed's attempts to expand dangerous police chases, for voting in favor of policies aimed at reducing racially biased traffic stops, and for advocating for independent oversight and reform of the SFPD. His reforms have made him an enemy of the SF Police Officers Association; now the Mayor is looking to remove him in favor of a compliant stooge. Join us in telling the Board of Supervisors to vote against removing Commissioner Carter-Oberstone.
