Many Wilmington residents are struggling to pay their water bills and are at risk for water shut off and foreclosure. In March, the city had over 10,000 delinquent accounts out of the 36,000 total utility customers.
Please join H.O.M.E.S. Campaign in giving public comment to help stop the City of Wilmington from shutting off residents' water during a pandemic.
Join the City Council Finance and Economic Development Committee to give public comment on an ordinance that would stop water service shutoffs for six months.

The price of water services for residents has more than tripled in the last twenty years, growing much faster than inflation and wages. Then the pandemic hit, and many people, especially lower-income families, have lost jobs and income, making it harder for people to make ends meet.
No one should go without water during a pandemic.
