Public education is under attack. With the pandemic as pretext, those who have been working for years to defund and privatize our education system have kicked into full gear, inviting unelected technology business leaders with failed track records of 'reform' to attempt to transform our system.

Education worker unions have been, and remain, the strongest line of defense against these attacks on our rights to a quality and accessible public education for all. This is not just a labor or education struggle, it is a moral one. It is about defending and improving our school systems to win the public schools that all people deserve.

On June 10 at 6pm, we'll convene a panel of education worker and moral leaders to discuss the stakes of this struggle, the ways they have responded amidst the pandemic, and how they are pushing back on these attacks.

Leaders from NYSUT, UUP, SEIULocal200, GSEU, PSC/CUNY, and DC 37 Local 372 will join us, as well as Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis, co-chair of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call For Moral Revival.

This event will be held via Zoom and streamed live on our Facebook page. RSVP and we'll make sure you get a reminder when it starts!

This struggle impacts us all. Please join us whether you are an education worker yourself, a parent, a student, a neighbor or all of the above.
