Join Na’amod on Wednesday 28 July at 6pm BST for a panel to find out more about anti-Palestinian racism in the Jewish community. Hear from Palestinian voices and experts within our community about what anti-Palestinian racism is, and how we can join in solidarity to end it.

Na’amod is excited to be joined by:

  • Amjad Iraqi, editor at +972 Magazine
  • Sana Knaneh, a Palestinian educator with experience working within the Jewish community
  • Joseph Finlay, an academic at the University of Southampton researching British Jewish 'race relations'
  • Leah Jordan, rabbi of Liberal Jewish community Kehillah North London

They will be discussing what anti-Palestinian racism looks like – in our community and elsewhere – and what we can do to take action against it.

Whilst there has been much public discussion and debate regarding antisemitism within the anti-occupation movement, the presence of anti-Palestinian racism within discussions about the occupation has been largely overlooked.

Within the media, wider society and our own community, persistent and insidious racist tropes regarding Palestinians have developed. These tend to emerge most prominently whenever the situation in Israel-Palestine deteriorates, but they are always circulating in our newspapers, in our public discourse and around our dinner tables.

Na'amod has assembled a diverse range of expert voices, who will help identify how anti-Palestinian racism manifests and suggest how we can begin to tackle it.

This event is free of charge, but donations to help cover our costs are very much appreciated.
