“Don’t let them sweep this under the rug.”
— Dr. Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey
It’s been almost a year since Dr. Bonnie Candia-Bailey’s suicide after experiencing workplace abuse at Lincoln University in Missouri. Her pleas for help with a workplace bully were ultimately ignored, described by researchers as processes of dehumanization and traumatization. Two months later, they cleared the bully and themselves of any wrongdoing and further victimized Candia-Bailey.
Employers are not liable for psychological safety nor do they want to be.
WE NEED A LAW: THE WORKPLACE PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY ACT.
Join End Workplace Abuse on January 1, 2025, New Year’s Day, at 1pmET for our first annual Voice & Action Rally, including exclusive interviews from Dr. Candia-Bailey’s husband and her best friend as they turn their pain into purpose to raise public awareness around this phenomenon, a silent epidemic that affects millions of employees each year. Let’s fight forward together.
If you wish your workplace was bully-free, please join us for our free inaugural “Voice & Action Rally” on January 1, 2025 at 1pmET.
