The NJ Turnpike Authority is proceeding with its $11.0 billion plan to expand the 8.1 mile section of the Turnpike between Newark and Jersey City at a time when public transit is failing, NJ Transit fares are increasing, NJ Transit cannot fund needed capital projects, and traffic is down because of congestion pricing.
