In June 2025 we delivered a petition with over 600 signatures demanding that the St. Mary's County Board of Education adopt a list of protections and rights for LGBTQ staff and students. The board, however, has refused to put the resolution on a meeting agenda - despite also receiving dozens of emails from constituents urging them to do so.

Clearly they need some additional encouragement.
