Join us to rally against Dominion's proposed gas plant in Chesterfield County! We will be gathering in Woodbridge, in solidarity with our community members down in Chester who have been fighting this gas plant proposal for two years now. Our rally coincides with a critical public hearing happening on September 8 at the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) down in central VA, and we are gathering at the DEQ's NoVA office to show them that people in NoVA care, too! We stand in defense of the VCEA and our children's futures, and we are saying NO GAS PLANTS!
Dominion Energy plans to build a gas plant in Chesterfield County and 5 additional new gas plants elsewhere in Virginia. These plants would lock us into decades of expensive fossil fuel infrastructure, increase toxic air pollution, and threaten our progress toward a clean energy future—all while driving up utility bills.
We need to show the DEQ that fossil fuels are NOT the future we envision for Virginia. Let’s show up, get organized, and stop this plant together.
We will be meeting at the edge of a parking lot in Noblewood Plaza, then walking to the Department of Environmental Quality together as part of the event. Plug 14130 Noblewood Plaza, Woodbridge into your GPS and you should find us gathering by the parking lot and gearing up for our rally.
