Protest & Rally in DC for Pandemic Preparedness & COVID Vaccine Access
Start: Wednesday, November 17, 2021•12:00 PM
Join us for a protest in Washington, DC at 12pm on Thursday, November 17 at the United States Capitol to urge the Senate to vaccinate the world, stop the variants, and pandemic-proof the planet by passing S.2297 into law by the end of this year.
The protest will take place at the US Capitol, on the corner of Constitution Ave NE and Delaware Ave NE, at Upper Senate Park. The address for Upper Senate Park is 200 New Jersey Ave NW, but this address , Washington, DC 20001)
Public transit & parking is available at Union Station (50 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002).
A handful of Senators have placed a hold on The International Preparedness and COVID-19 Response Act (S.2297) and we need your help to get them to ACT NOW. We only have a few weeks left to pass the biggest global health bill of our generation, so we are rallying at Capitol Hill to put the needed pressure on our political leaders.
We have already lost more than 700,000 lives in the U.S. and 5 million globally to COVID-19, yet the Senate continues to sit on a bill that would end COVID-19 and prevent future pandemics. This inaction is unacceptable.
We will demand that Senators release the hold and take immediate action to pass S.2297, the International Pandemic Preparedness and COVID-19 Response Act.
This is our only chance: we will never again have the opportunity to make such a lasting impact. THE TIME IS NOW, AND THE WORLD CAN’T WAIT. Join us on November 17 to demand action!
