The majority of people are unaware that this is something to deeply worry about TODAY, not in 10 years.

According to the Impact of AI on workers in the US Report by the US National Science Foundation and Gerald Huff Fund for Humanity, in less than 3 years approximately 25% of all jobs across all industries and occupations will be disrupted by AI. Basic income, a policy to provide recurring cash not tied to someone's employment, is CRUCIAL to prevent more harm and ensure no one is left behind. We need a basic income now. People need money to survive, and if stable employment becomes more and more out of reach, then our families, our communities, are going to suffer even more deeply.

And it’s not just our jobs AI is taking, with 50 Million square feet of planned developments for AI Data Centers, yet we have not helped the 771,480 people experiencing homelessness in the country, a 2024 figure by HUD.
