On Law Day, New Orleans attorneys will gather on the courthouse steps to do something simple and powerful: retake their oaths.
Join fellow lawyers and oath-takers for a brief, public reaffirmation of our commitment to judicial independence, constitutional limits on power, and equal justice under law. This is part of the national Law Day of Action, with legal professionals standing together at courthouses across the country at the same hour on the same day.
No speeches. No fundraising. Just lawyers showing up, standing together, and saying out loud what we swore to uphold.
The event takes approximately 15 minutes. Professional attire encouraged. All attorneys and oath-takers welcome.
