Congress is considering whether to finally end subsidies for the fracking and fossil fuel industries. Legislation is being written and debated this summer, so now is the time to take action in our home districts and make sure that our Representatives hear from us directly!

Our Representative, Don Beyer, is a key decision maker on this issue. Rep. Beyer is the Co-Chair of the New Democratic Coalition Climate Change task force, so their support could decide whether we continue to spend billions of dollars subsidizing the fracking industry, or if we end those subsidies and invest in a clean energy future instead.

We will be meeting outside Rep. Beyer's in-district office at 1:00pm to drop off a petition urging him to co-sponsor The End the Polluter Welfare Act bill. There will also be a short photo-op of the event.
