Rest: As A Collective Act of Restoration and Resistance

Start: Sunday, December 21, 202510:00 AM

End: Sunday, December 21, 202511:30 AM

In a society built to keep us always “on,” Rest as a Collective Act of Restoration and Resistance reframes rest as a shared, strategic practice - not just self-care. It nurtures healing, builds collective resilience, and pushes back against systems that value endless productivity over human well‑being.

This guided journaling workshop centers rest for those carrying generational labor, grief, and organizing work as a radical reclaiming of our bodies, connections, and right to be whole. Through guided learning, reflection, conversation, and intentional stillness, we’ll explore seven types of rest as tools to restore energy, strengthen relationships, and sustain long‑term justice work.

By the end, participants will have a concrete action plan to add at least one type of rest into daily life and movement work - shifting rest from luxury to a vital collective strategy for liberation.
