Daffodils for Democracy: A Blooming Stand for Freedom

On April 5, as we gather at the Washington, D.C. Mall for the Hands Off Rally, we bring with us a symbol of resilience, hope, and renewal—daffodils. These bright golden blooms remind us that democracy, like spring, is ever-renewing, ever-growing, and must be nurtured with care.

Daffodils represent rebirth and new beginnings, just as our democracy demands constant vigilance and renewal. They signify hope and joy, reminding us that even in challenging times, change is possible when people come together. They are a token of good luck and prosperity, encouraging us to persist in the fight for justice, freedom, and human rights.

As we raise our voices at the Hands Off Rally, let these daffodils be more than flowers—they are a message. A message that we refuse to let our rights be trampled. A message that democracy belongs to the people. A message that together, we bloom.

Join Network NOVA and the Virginia Grassroots on the sidewalk in front of the African American Museum and join us with the Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History Coalition at 11am to encircle the museum.
