History Ride

Join Capital Bike for a guided community ride exploring the stories hidden in the streets we ride every day.

Starting from Central Park, we'll ride through some of Greater Victoria's most historic neighbourhoods, stopping at local landmarks including George Jay School, Carnarvon Park, Tod House, Cattle Point, Oak Bay Marina, Ross Bay Cemetery, and Pioneer Square. Along the way, John Adams of Guided Walking Tours Victoria BC will share the stories behind the people and places that helped shape our community.

Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a unique way to experience the city by bike, this is a great opportunity to see familiar places from a new perspective.

What to Bring

Please bring a road-ready bike, helmet, water, weather-appropriate layers, and anything you'd like for lunch. We'll be stopping at Oak Bay Marina for a lunch break, where you'll have the option to purchase food or enjoy a packed lunch.
