After over a year of pressure from Rockville tenants and rent stabilization supporters, the Rockville City Council and Mayor has finally put rent stabilization on the agenda for its July 21 meeting. However, the City Council and Mayor quickly scheduled this meeting after Council Members Izola Shaw and David Myles announced a rent stabilization ordinance and has not requested staff analysis on a rent stabilization policy. The Rockville City Hall is located at 111 Maryland Ave., Rockville, MD 20850. It’s a 15-minute walk from the Rockville Metro Station, and parking is available in the lot and on the street outside City Hall.
