Join us for a Rutgers YDSA General Interest Meeting! We'll talk about what socialism is, what YDSA is, and answer any questions you may have.

Young Democratic Socialists of America (YDSA) is the youth and student section of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), and a national organization of recognized campus chapters and several hundred activists. We are students organizing in our universities, colleges, and high schools to fight for the immediate needs of workers and students while building our capacity to fight for more radical and structural changes.

Young people today are embracing socialism more and more. YDSA channels this extraordinary surge of leftist energy by organizing people on campuses and in our communities to win material change and political power for the working class, while training a new generation of socialist leaders in the process.

We organize with our fellow students around the issues that matter to young people - like college for all, organizing workers, immigrant rights, free healthcare, racial justice, disability liberation, ecosocialism, international solidarity, and more. We practice radical solidarity with other campus and community groups that are fighting for justice, equality, and liberation. We educate our peers to build class consciousness and a popular vision for a better, socialist world. Ultimately, we push for a true democracy in our campuses and local communities that will serve as the ground for a democratic socialist future.
