The Salish Sea at Sunset (Everett) Rise for Climate, Jobs & Justice at Harborview Park

Start: Saturday, September 08, 201807:00 PM

Join with your community to honor the Salish Sea at Sunset.  The evening event will have a unity circle to promote strength and healing. Speakers will guide us with thoughts and prayers for the health of our Salish Sea and its inhabitants. Music includes a Native American flute performance by Paul N., and featured speaker Pastor Rachel, will be joined by others for this event!

The sunset will culminate the day-of-action when thousands of rallies will be held in cities and towns around the world to demand our local leaders commit to building a fossil free world that works for all of us. Join us as we hold our local leaders to account and demand that they walk the talk on climate action. There is a Teach-In/Chautauqua the morning of September 8th at Snohomish County Government Campus in Everett to learn about how we can each make a difference and why it matters (information on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/1756602431121106/ or https://peoplesclimate.org/takeaction/ ).

The September 8th evening event closes a long day of international actions to fight climate change and demand for actions from leaders. We'll acknowledge the responsibility and trust we are placing in our elected leaders who are participating in the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco on September 12-14th to embrace climate change solutions!

Co-Hosted by 350-Everett, SnoCo Indivisible, North Sound Progressive Community People's Summit, Women's March SnoCo Group and others.
