Education Austin and the School Board Watch (a committee of Education Austin) are pleased to host a series of community listening sessions over the next 6 weeks. We have endorsed four candidates for the school board that we know will be the strongest, fiercest advocates for our community. They are John Mckiernan-Gonzalez for District 2, Kevin Foster for District 3, Lynn Boswell for District 5, and Noelita Lugo for At-Large. We will take this time to share our experience with the four candidates so that we build deeper community connections with the future of our school board.

Our fourth listening session will be focused on District 3 concerns, experiences, and ideas for the future. The event is open to the entire Austin ISD community (families, students, community members, and staff) to share their community knowledge around issues in D3. The event will be moderated by three educators in Austin ISD D3 schools. The first 45 minutes will be open for public comment around D3. For those who attend the Zoom call, you will have 2 minutes to speak if you choose to do so. At the end, we will hear from our four endorsed candidates in response to the public testimony that they've heard from the community.
