Seattle Japanese American Town Hall

Start: Tuesday, August 19, 202506:00 PM

End: Tuesday, August 19, 202508:00 PM

Join our community-led town hall to share your stories of the lasting impacts of Japanese American WWII incarceration, and demand our government act now, in ways they never did in 1941, to protect vulnerable communities.

Doors will open at 5:30pm for check-in; event will start promptly at 6pm.

We stand horrified as we watch a repetition of the surveillance, forced removals, mass incarcerations, repression, family separations and deportations that Japanese Americans experienced during WWII. Join us to demand more from our elected officials, and to honor the strength of our survivors and ancestors who told us Nidoto Nai Yoni - let it not happen again.

Please contact Kiku Hughes at kikujhughes@gmail.com with any questions.

Thank you, we hope to see you on August 19!
