In 2026, EBC will be offering even more opportunities to volunteer with our mail program. Our 2026 Prison Mail Night will be held bimonthly on the third Monday of January, March, May, July, September, and November from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Prison Mail Night will now take place in-person at the EBC office in Oakland. While we hope that you can join us to be in community in our space, we will still maintain a hybrid option so that those who cannot be in-person can still participate.

Info for joining Prison Mail Night in-person: This event will take place at 1419 34th Avenue, Oakland, CA 94601. Please, enter through the glass door on the 34th Street side of the building. This location is accessible through public transportation and is near the Fruitvale BART station. Street parking is also available for those who choose to drive. In order to keep our community safe, we ask that you please do not attend if you have recently been exposed to or are experiencing COVID symptoms!
