Let's Catch Up Over Coffee! Chat with Sky Bergman
Hey there! 🍂 Coffee Chats are back, and we're kicking off the back-to-school season with something truly special.
Join me on September 9 for a virtual hangout with our friend, author and filmmaker Sky Bergman. If you're up for some inspiration and a good dose of creativity, you won't want to miss this!
Here's what we'll be chatting about:
- Sky's amazing journey from teaching to making films. She's got stories that'll inspire anyone taking on something new and/or thinking about what's next.
- Her latest creative projects that are all about connecting generations. Plus, she’s got some real steps on how we can help end ageism.
- How to rise above those outdated generational stereotypes and clickbait articles that divide instead of unite.
Oh, and I’ll share an updated toolkit that'll make intergenerational conversation a breeze in any setting.
This isn't going to be a lecture—it's a chance to relax, chat, and share what's on our minds. So, if you’re curious about what’s next for you or just feel like doing something that really matters, come hang!
Got questions for Sky? Drop them in when you sign up so we can chat about what you’re most interested in.
More about Sky
Sky Bergman is an award-winning filmmaker, author, and educator. She creates films that connect, inspire, and celebrate the richness of the human experience. At the heart of every film is a belief in the impact of shared stories to foster empathy, understanding, and a more connected world.
Her directorial debut Lives Well Lived, a PBS documentary, celebrates the wit and wisdom of adults ages 75 to 100 and inspired her companion book Lives Well Lived — GENERATIONS, which reflects on the lessons she learned from the people in the film and highlights innovative ways to connect across generations.
Sky is currently working on three new films. The Mochi Movie explores the Japanese American tradition of mochitsuki and features George Takei of Star Trek fame. The Prime Time Band tells the story of older adults returning to music and sharing its joy with younger generations. The Jollytologist® follows Allen Klein’s remarkable journey from grief to laughter, showing how humor and laughter can help us get through challenging time. She hopes to release all three films next year.
