Class Description

Active Violence Immediate Response Training (AVIRT) gives you the tools to understand how to recognize warning signs, react quickly in an active shooter situation, and learn how to control bleeding in life-threatening situations.

AVIRT empowers participants to become immediate on-scene responders by giving them the tools needed to react quickly in life-threatening situations and be prepared for potentially violent situations. After an AVIRT training session, participants will be able to:

• Recognize potential warning signs using situational awareness
• Decide what to do: Escape, Evade, or Attack
• Apply critical bleeding control techniques in life-saving situations
• Respond quickly and confidently in an emergency situation
