Come to Jewish Voice for Peace San Diego's Potluck Shabbat and fundraiser for We All We Got San Diego on November 21st from 7-9 PM at the First Church of the Brethren.
We All We Got is a grassroots mutual aid group run on Kumeyaay land. They distribute free groceries and hygiene items to more than 200 families twice a month at the Brown Buildings. They also offer deliveries for those who can't access them in person. Their group centers those experiencing marginalization. Mutual aid is the way they provide community care and help build a new way of existing based on agency and mutual relationships. They have done many forms of aid work over the years, responding to COVID19 pandemic and ICE immigration crises. Donations also go towards expanding mutual aid in North County through Shared Plate.
At our Shabbat service, we will practice the Shabbat ritual, have a raffle of local goods/merch, and talk about the weaponization of hunger and starvation in the US and Palestine.
Donate at least $10 to We All We Got through Venmo @WAWGSD or their Givebutter HERE with the comment "JVPSD" to enter the raffle! Participants can enter as many times as they’d like! Prizes will be handed out at the event!
