As part of Coastal Cleanup Month 2026, Friends of the Lost Coast will be hosting a cleanup event from 1pm to 3:30pm on Sunday, September 20th. Meeting at Mal Coombs Park, the group will be collecting trash throughout Shelter Cove. Join to help them steward and care for our coastlines!

All volunteers will have a chance to enter a weekly raffle with the NEC to win a locally donated prize!

Cleanup supplies will be provided, but please bring water, sun protection and wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Join with friends and family to help keep trash out of our waterways!

*Cleanup group will meet at Mal Coombs Park in Whitethorne at 1pm. GPS coordinates are 40°01'21.7"N 124°04'09.7"W

Paper waivers will be available at all cleanup events, but if you'd like to sign the digital waiver instead, please use the links below and provide a screenshot of the completed waiver confirmation to the site captain when arriving at the cleanup event. All participants under age 18 need to have a waivers sign by a parent or legal guardian.
