Indivisible protest

Indivisible groups and others across Pennsylvania are on a mission to SHUT DOWN MOSHANNON!

Moshannon Valley Processing Center, located in Clearfield County, is the largest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in the Northeastern United States. Operated by the for-profit prison corporation GEO Group, this facility has become a central hub for detaining immigrants—many of whom have no criminal record and are being held without due process.

People from across the region—Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, and beyond—are being transported to this remote prison, hidden from public view but not from public outrage. Inside its walls, detainees face isolation, substandard medical care, and a long record of human rights violations documented by legal advocates and watchdog organizations. The facility operates under a contract between ICE and the Clearfield County Commissioners—a contract that is set to expire in 2026. That gives us a critical window to act. We must send a powerful message:

Pennsylvania will not be complicit in the cruelty of immigration detention.

We say NO to indefinite detention without trial. We say NO to families being torn apart. We say NO to profiting off of human suffering.

It’s time to demand that Clearfield County officials end their contract with ICE—and that GEO Group gets out of our state for good.

Join the movement. Stand up. Speak out. SHUT DOWN MOSHANNON.

LOCATION: Protest will happen both at the Philipsburg Memorial Park (across from the Borough Office at 4 N Centre St, Philipsburg, PA 16866) for folks who are less mobile and also along the public road outside of the Moshannon Valley Processing Center (55 GEO Drive, Philipsburg, PA 1686) for those who are more mobile and willing and able to move as directed by organizers.
