SunDay is a global day of action on September 21st, 2025, celebrating the unstoppable rise of clean energy. We’ll come together to showcase the power of the sun and wind, the energy sources that can power our world without pollution.
Join the Sierra Club Woods and Wetlands Conservation Committee to celebrate National Sun Day on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3:00 pm! Let’s come together to honor clean energy progress in Illinois and call for a just transition away from fossil fuels.
The Illinois Clean Jobs Coalition will provide postcards urging legislators to support the Clean and Reliable Grid Affordability Act (CRGAA). This is a fun and meaningful way to:
Learn more about the clean energy legislation we are fighting for
Connect with neighbors and new friends who care about the environment
Take direct action by writing postcards to lawmakers
We’ll gather at the Beer Garden at Independence Grove Forest Preserve (16400 West Buckley Road, Libertyville, IL 60048), just outside the Visitor Center. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon of socializing over refreshments while helping strengthen the clean energy movement.
All are welcome—bring your friends and join the conversation!
