Silk Salmon Windsock Workshop

Celebrate International Endangered Species Day on May 21st by making silk Chinook Salmon windsocks
at Seattle’s Herons Nest.

Seattle artist, Denise Henrikson , known worldwide for her beautiful batiked and painted salmon
windsocks will be holding a workshop where we will be painting chinook salmon on silk panels.
Meet us at Seattle’s Heron Nest by the Duwamish River and Longhouse anytime between 10 am – 6 pm on Saturday May 21st .

These windsocks along with already painted sockeye windsocks will be used at this years Fremont
Solstice Parade and will then be given to the Snake Rive Savers, Save Our Wild Salmon, and Clayoquot
Action will be used in their campaigns to restore free flowing rivers and endangered salmon and orca.
Please bring clothing appropriate for painting and if possible, aprons, although they are provided.
