We are holding a public sing-in at our local Target store to let them know that we do not support their compliance with ICE.

We’ve all been watching as ICE has brutalized immigrant communities and murdered those bearing witness in Minneapolis. As people of faith, we must speak up.

We see ICE as an extension of the same violence that’s claimed tens of thousands of lives in Gaza over the past two years. From Palestine to Minneapolis to Asheville, authoritarian power asserts violence and subjugation over the beloved of God – but we know our varied faith traditions all stand on the side of the oppressed.

Mennonite Action calls on for all people of faith and friends committed to solidarity and peacemaking to take bold, public nonviolent action to stand up against ICE murders, deportations, and continued authoritarian state violence here and across the world. Following the lead of those in Minneapolis in singling out complicit corporations, we call on people of faith to sing out for justice.

We are not seeking arrest at this nonviolent, direct action.
