Background

We’ve all been watching as ICE has brutalized immigrant communities and murdered those bearing witness in Minneapolis. As Mennonites, we must speak up.

We see ICE as an extension of the same violence that’s claimed tens of thousands of lives in Gaza over the past two years. From Palestine to Minneapolis, authoritarian power asserts violence and subjugation – but we know Jesus stands on the side of the oppressed.

Mennonite Action calls on Mennonites, Christians, and friends to take bold, public nonviolent action to stand up against ICE murders, deportations, and continued authoritarian state violence here and across the world. Following the lead of those in Minneapolis in singling out complicit corporations, we call on Mennonites to sing out for justice.
