Sing Down the Doors: Seattle

Start: Tuesday, February 10, 202604:00 PM

Location: Northgate Target 302 NE Northgate Way, Seattle, WA 98125 US

We are holding a public hymn sing at our local Target store to let them know that we do not support their compliance with ICE.

We’ve all been watching as ICE has brutalized immigrant communities and murdered those bearing witness in Minneapolis. As Mennonites, we must speak up.

We see ICE as an extension of the same violence that’s claimed tens of thousands of lives in Gaza over the past two years. From Palestine to Minneapolis, authoritarian power asserts violence and subjugation over the beloved of God – but we know Jesus stands on the side of the oppressed.

It's been a year since Black faith leaders kicked off a boycott of Target on Ash Wednesday 2025. We need to keep the pressure up on Target to denounce racist behavior.

Mennonite Action calls on Mennonites, Christians, and friends to take bold, public nonviolent action to stand up against ICE murders, deportations, and continued authoritarian state violence here and across the world. Following the lead of those in Minneapolis in singling out complicit corporations, we call on Mennonites to sing out for justice.
