Women's Rally 2018-Watertown, NY

Start: Saturday, January 20, 2018 1:00 PM

End: Saturday, January 20, 2018 3:00 PM

The national Women's March organization will mobilize in Las Vegas on Jan. 20-21, 2018, the one-year anniversary of the Women's March on Washington (Jan. 21, 2017). Since last year's Women's March on Washington and the 650+ sister marches and rallies held around the country (including in Watertown, NY) and the world in solidarity with the Women's March on Washington, women have witnessed attacks on our health care, our bodies, and our communities. Among the issues that will be addressed at the mass mobilization in Las Vegas are women's rights, the rights of immigrants, people of color, laborers, and the LGBTQ+ community, the natural environment, healthcare, education and more. The Las Vegas mobilization is intended to ignite a nation-wide effort to inspire women to run for office, register women voters, and get women voters to the polls in order to influence the 2018 and 2020 elections (an effort referred to as "Power to the Polls"). Additionally, the Las Vegas mobilization will celebrate the extraordinary efforts, accomplishments, and achievements made by women over the last year.
