Participants in a slow march

Looking for a way to take action on the climate crisis?

2023 was the hottest year in 100,000 years!

Global temperatures are rising much faster than scientists predicted and are already having devastating effects on millions of people around the world.

This year has seen:

  • 600,000 people displaced by Brazil’s biggest ever flood
  • Deadly heatwaves in the US, Mexico, India, Thailand and Greece
  • 500,000 people left without electricity in the US from tornado damage
  • Crops lost to drought and storms leading to increased food prices

We will be organising regular slow marches to demand urgent climate action. Join an online information session to find out how you can get involved and learn more, including the march locations.

What is a slow march?

Slow marches are a form of non-violent civil disobedience that are effective in disrupting business as usual and drawing attention to our demands.

They are peaceful and inclusive events. The tone is somber and sincere. We claim space on public roads as an expression of collective rebellion against climate inaction, and we encourage individuals to speak from the heart about this crisis.

Even if you don’t want to walk on the road there are many ways you can participate. There is a role for everyone, no matter your experience or ability.

We’re trying to build an open and participatory movement that is big enough to change the system that is driving us towards global disaster. We can do it, but we need your help!

See you there!
