Soc 201 Session 3: Socialism and the Working Class
Start: Sunday, October 19, 2025•03:00 PM
Location:Marie Daley Park•160 Gregory St, Rochester, NY 14620 US
Socialists often talk about the working class as the protagonists of history, the social class with the power and the self-interest in seeing capitalism overthrown. Over and over again this has proven to be true, as socialists and the working class have led dozens of successful revolutions. Yet the working class faces many barriers, both internal and external, to achieving this historical mission. This session focuses on the historical role of the working class, some of the challenges it faces in overcoming capitalism, and the relationship between socialists and the working class.
