Socialize with Chapelboro Socialists

Start: Tuesday, June 13, 202306:30 PM

End: Tuesday, June 13, 202308:30 PM

Come hang out with your fellow Chapelborian DSA members! We will pull together some tables and chairs on the Weaver Street Market patio. Food and drinks (including alcoholic drinks) are available for purchase inside, there is also a water and cups available for free (and bathrooms of course!). Bring a friend or two, crack open a cold beverage of choice, and sit for a spell.

This is a kid and dog friendly event. There is a kids play area on the patio, and leashed dogs are permitted. This location is easily accessible via Chapel Hill busses and ample parking is available.

RAIN POLICY: The rain date for this event is Tuesday, June 27 at the same time/place. If afternoon thunderstorms or heavy rain seem likely the day of the event a message will be sent out to all RSVP'd guests as well as a message posted in Discord noting that the event will be canceled and held on the rain date. There is a limited amount of covered space on the patio and an indoor sitting area in case of unexpected rain.

HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY: As illnesses including COVID-19 can still spread outside, outdoor events are not risk-free. To make this event as safe as possible, we ask that attendees follow our new health and safety policy for outdoor events. Here's what you need to know before the event:

  • If you are feeling sick or have symptoms of illness, or have been exposed to a sick person in the last two weeks, please stay home! We will miss you but will look forward to seeing you at our next event.
  • Had COVID recently? Please wait two weeks from symptom onset AND get a negative result on a COVID test before attending your next in-person DSA event. If it hasn't been two weeks or you are still testing positive, please stay home!
  • Have you been unmasked in a crowded space recently, such as air or train travel or a concert, or engaged in any other high-risk activities? If so, please take a rapid test on the day of the event before attending.
  • Can’t afford a COVID test? The chapter can reimburse you! Contact us at ncpdsa@gmail.com for details.

This policy was adopted by Triangle DSA in March 2023. You can read the full resolution and policy here.
