AANHPI Heritage Month Event: Solidarities: Black Liberation and Asian American Activism in the PNW. APALA in partnership with the Black Panther Legacy Project and LELO are hosting an event to hear from local activists about their experience building a cross solidarity movement here and how we use those lessons learned now. Speakers will include Aaron Dixon, co-founder of the Seattle Chapter of Black Panther Party, Mike Tagawa, Seattle Chapter Black Panther Party member, Michael Woo, former organizer with United Construction Workers Association who helped enforce the desegregation of Seattle’s construction union
