This is a virtual event

Over 700 St. Vincent Hospital nurses, who are represented by the Massachusetts Nurses Association (MNA), have been waging an open-ended strike against Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare since March 8th, making it the longest nurses’ strike in the nation in over a decade. They are fighting to implement desperately needed staffing increases to improve the patient care conditions at the facility, poor conditions that have only been exacerbated by the pandemic. Since the strike began, Tenet has spent more than $100 million to prolong the nurses strike, much greater than the cost of meeting the nurses’ strike demands.

As the nurses’ strike rapidly becomes the longest in state history, DSLC and Worcester DSA—in collaboration with DSA chapters around the state of Massachusetts—are hosting a virtual solidarity event on September 1st via Zoom. We will use our time together to put pressure on the bosses through a collective phone zap. We need all hands on deck to demand that Tenet Healthcare stop bringing harm to our communities with their corporate greed and union-busting.

RSVP to this event on September 1, 8pm ET/7pm CT/5pm PT, to stand in solidarity with the nurses’ strike and the fight for safer conditions for patients and healthcare workers.

St. Vincent nurses need our support now more than ever. Call on your union to donate to their strike fund, or donate individually, through the official Massachusetts Nurses Association St. Vincent Strike Fund.
