Climate Perks is a pioneering programme that helps organisations take practical climate action by supporting low-carbon travel. Run by the charity Possible, Climate Perks enables employers to offer their staff paid “journey days” when they choose cleaner, greener travel options - like trains, coaches, or ferries - over flights for their holidays.

The aviation industry is one of the fastest-growing sources of greenhouse gas emissions, and while many people want to cut down on flying, work commitments and limited holiday time can make this difficult. Climate Perks bridges this gap by giving employees extra time to travel sustainably, without losing out on precious annual leave.

Since launching, Climate Perks has grown into a network of forward-thinking employers across sectors including finance, tech, and non-profits. Participating organisations demonstrate leadership on climate action, boost staff wellbeing, and align with growing employee demand for meaningful sustainability policies.

By joining Climate Perks, employers help normalise low-carbon lifestyles and show that supporting climate-friendly choices can be both practical and popular. Together, these organisations are sending a powerful signal: tackling the climate crisis requires systemic change, and workplaces can play a key role in making sustainable travel the new normal.
