Come to Springfield to join us in directly engaging our legislators! We'll provide food, transportation, and all the training you need to help move your elected officials forward on our closing corporate tax loopholes to raise revenue for education and services, health care, criminal justice, public transportation:
Important logistics include:
- VIRTUAL training and orientation: TBD
- Expect to be on the road from a designated pick up spot by 6 a.m. (so you'll have to leave home before 6 am) and arrive back at the pick up spot by around 7:30 p.m.
- Plan to have first meetings with legislators starting at 10:00 a.m., last meeting starting at 2:00 p.m., group picture at 2:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. departure
- What to wear: comfy clothes and shoes... (There will be lots of walking. Wear your TPL t-shirt. If this is your first lobby day, you'll get a t-shirt. You do NOT need to dress up.)
- You'll: bring your own bottled water, coffee and breakfast and coffee to enjoy in the van.
- We'll provide snacks and lunch.
