What is it?
The People’s Mayoral Debate is collective space where candidates running for mayor can respond to questions by community-led organizations and concerned constituents. The debate will focus on a wide range of issues including police accountability, pretrial detention, housing, jobs, education, and economic policies, as well as the current pandemic and its impact on St. Louis.
What are "Mayors"?
Mayors typically run their city or town's day-to-day administration and work with the legislative body to enact laws. They preside over council meetings, provide leadership, receive input from constituents and make business decisions.
Which candidates are debating?
Treasurer Tishaura Jones, President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed, Alderwoman Cara Spencer, and candidate Andrew Jones.
