Rally to Stop the War On Venezuela!

Start: Saturday, January 17, 202603:00 PM

Location: City Plaza 107 N Main St, Concord, NH 03301 US

NH joins in a Global Day of Action to declare that we the people want peace! Trump’s bombing of Venezuela, kidnapping its President and planning to govern Venezuela are acts of war. These aggressions do not make us safer. Our country is weakened by the financial and social cost of military intervention. Our President is threatening multiple sovereign countries and global stability while undermining international and US law. This puts everyone, everywhere, at risk.

We demand that Senators Shaheen and Hassan and Representatives Pappas and Goodlander reclaim their constitutional duty to decide when the United States engages in acts of war. We want a government that leads with humanitarian principles to ensure the well-being of all people. Killing and plundering others does not bring security to us. A proposed 1.5 trillion dollar defense budget does not make us safe. We will not be fooled by this administration’s rhetoric, which echos the audacity that took us into the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. We urge Congress to prevail and guide us away from the human and material costs of war.

We call for diplomacy, restraint, compassion and compliance with U.S. and international law to guide our foreign relations.  War is not the answer. Raise your voice for peace everywhere.
