Calling all DSA-LA members and fellow community members in the South Central / Inglewood area: Join members from Street Watch LA to learn more about how we organize and how to get involved with supporting your unhoused neighbors! Street Watch organizes neighborhood by neighborhood and we want to connect with all interested members to make plans for organizing in South Central and Inglewood. We'll spend half of the meeting doing an introduction to Street Watch, and the other half making plans for next steps to start doing the work, including assessing which neighborhoods have the highest need and the highest density of interested members.

About Street Watch
Through Street Watch, we connect with our unhoused neighbors to build collective power to decriminalize poverty and homelessness, expand housing and public health infrastructure, fight state violence, and connect the housed and unhoused communities in the most housing-unequal city in the country. Our main areas of focus are monitoring police presence and city agents throughout LA County, especially during LA’s notoriously brutal “encampment sweeps”; community check-ins and mutual aid, including food distribution, first aid, harm reduction, phone-charging stations, tents, and other quality of life supplies; and community organizing with unhoused people.
